Club Policies & Ethics
Club policies and ethics for members and supporters to adhere too.
The Committee has adopted a set of policies which we believe will help all members understand how we intend to deliver the aims set out in the Club’s Constitution, which is a document that belongs to our members. The Policies provide the framework from which we have developed a set of Codes of Conduct and procedures which we hope bring the policies to life in terms of specific situations; please take time to understand the principles of the policies and specifically any relevant Codes of Conduct.

The Erewash Ethic

We believe Erewash HC has a unique set of values and a culture we want to protect. This has been embodied in the "Club Ethics", which the Committee seeks to adhere to in developing the Club.

When playing the game, as a minimum, we expect our members to:

 - Learn and play by the rules of the game

- Be a good sport - win with modesty, lose with dignity

- Respect your team-mates, umpires and the opposition

- Recognise and applaud good play

- Pay all subscriptions and fees due to the club on time

- Wear our club colours with pride

Volunteering

Becoming a member at Erewash HC allows you to do more than just play hockey. We want to encourage you as a member, be it current player, alumni, parent or friend, to get involved in the Club's development.

There are many ways for you to get involved whether it is helping out with socials, coaching or umpiring to taking on committee appointments, which usually change every year, so members quickly obtain a wide experience of Club activities.

Club governance

Erewash Hockey Club is an grass route not-for-profit sports club. The club has a written constitution and is run by an elected comittee on a voluntary basis on behalf of the members.

Full senior members can vote at the club's AGM, which usually takes place in May, and junior members vote through their team representative.
